Legal and financial deadlines do not follow business hours. Loan documents arrive late Friday. A family member in the hospital needs a power of attorney signed before a Monday procedure. A real estate closing needs to happen over the weekend to meet a contractual deadline. These situations require a notary who is available outside standard office hours.
When You Need an Emergency Notary
The most common reasons Las Vegas residents need emergency or after-hours notary service include hospital visits for powers of attorney and healthcare directives, last-minute real estate closings, time-sensitive loan document signings, estate planning documents when a family member's health is declining, divorce or custody documents with court-imposed deadlines, and business contracts that need execution before the next business day.
How Mobile Notary Service Works
A mobile notary travels to your location instead of requiring you to visit an office. Under Nevada law (NRS Chapter 240), a notary public is authorized to perform notarial acts at any location within the state. This includes your home, office, hospital room, hotel, care facility, or any other agreed-upon location in the Las Vegas Valley.
To use a mobile notary service, contact the notary and describe the documents you need notarized and your location. You will need to present a valid government-issued photo identification (under NRS 240.1655), and sign the document in the notary's presence. The notary verifies identity, administers the oath or acknowledgment, and affixes the notary seal.
Areas Served
Signature on Demand provides 24/7 mobile notary service throughout the Las Vegas Valley, including Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, North Las Vegas, Green Valley, Boulder City, Spring Valley, Enterprise, and Centennial Hills. Travel fees vary based on distance and time of service.
Remote Online Notarization (RON) Option
For signers who cannot meet in person, Nevada permits Remote Online Notarization under NRS 240.198 through 240.206. RON allows a notary and signer to connect via live audio-video technology. The signer's identity is verified through knowledge-based authentication and credential analysis. RON is available for most document types and is valid nationwide.
Signature on Demand is a licensed Nevada Document Preparation Service (License #NVDP20239116529). We are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice, opinions, or representation. We prepare documents at the direction of our clients. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed Nevada attorney.
